Like all LEGO Republic Gunships, there’s an opening dual-hatch on the top of the ship, so you can remove the Clone Pilot minifigure whenever you want. A brick separator will be included with this set–thanks, LEGO! I genuinely appreciate the most common appearance of brick separators in sets lately.
Debuting in Star Wars Attack of the Clones, the Republic Gunship was an instant favorite with Star Wars fans and collectors! The LEGO 7163 Republic Gunship was released in 2002 for the Episode II movie release, with a Clone Wars LEGO Republic Gunship 7676 following in 2008. Both those ships were tremendously popular and are expensive on the aftermarket, so it was a no-brainer for LEGO to release the new LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunshup 75021 for the (now-cancelled) Episode II 3D movie release.
It took several nights of working on it (1/2 hour each evening), but I finally finished building the LEGO Republic Attack Gunship set #7676. A pretty impressive ship, lots of compartments and features, and a nice selection of minifigs. The only complaint I have is that there isn’t a really easy way to pick it up from the top that doesn’t run the risk of it falling and breaking into 1,000 pieces.
While many complain about LEGO rehashing the same LEGO Star Wars vehicles over and over, you can’t deny that there are vehicles that kids and collectors always, always want! One such vehicle is perhaps the most popular vehicle from the entirety of the Clone Wars, the LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunship 75021! Though its been released in full-size form twice before, in Summer 2013 the LEGO Republic Gunship is back for a much-demanded third engagement…
