If you don’t already have a papasan chair lying around in your basement, you can find them almost anywhere… garage sales, thrift stores, craigslist. And for CHEAP too!
You can almost hear the rustling of jungle leaves and the distant cries of macaque monkeys while seated in one of the papasan chairs in your Florida room. Although not a traditional set of living room chairs, you love how well these round bowls work in a small space. It is easy to see the chair's Eastern Asian origins in its large pillow cushions to sit on and the lightweight rattan or wicker wood frame. Whenever you have to move, you can practically lift each chair one-handed. The cushions on each are a delightfully thick velveteen material filled with polyester or cotton fluff. If the cushion is torn, you can just purchase another one on eBay instead of having to pay for an entirely new piece of furniture. Papasan chairs, also known as mamasan, are available with room for two in case you feel like getting cozy. Typically, 35 inches to 60 inches in diameter, these work as small accent chairs too. Get a papasan for your child's bedroom or put one in the three-season room to sit while you watch the sunrise.

Next, I primed/painted one half white, and used L-brackets to affix it to the wall at the height we decided on. We use 3 L-brackets total… one in the center, and one on either side of the papasan. Like so!
