I got a Schwinn Trailway hybrid bike for my birthday (March 2012). During our much appreciated warm snap in March and early April, I was able to ride a little over 50 miles going back and forth from home to downtown Detroit. I’ve so enjoyed riding Jefferson Avenue, the River Walk, Tri-Centennial State Park, Greektown, the Dequinder Cut, Eastern Market and more. The new trails and greenways are beautiful and give a whole new look and feel to downtown Detroit and the waterfront. I’m hoping the Dequinder Cut is extended very soon, because it’s so much fun to ride this beautiful trail!

This is a Schwinn Trailways Hybrid bike, awesome value for the price! Great for short road trips, 20 to 30 miles, around town riding, and light trails, would recommend this to anyone looking for a all in one
bike without breaking your wallet, best I could find for under 300.00 dollar mark, looked at some Local
Bike Shops, and was surprised to find that something close to this would cost 400.00 at least...My only
complaint would be that you must know how to do your own adjustments when buying from big box stores, and the handle bars on this model come loose often, keep a .5 millimeter allen head wrench handy, I might try using some lock tight next time. Other than that, this is a nice bike for the money...(200.00 dollars with Tax), water bottle and cage, frame mounted pump, under seat fanny pack, mini tool kit, seat post rack, and front LED head light extra, around 120.00 dollars on these..LOL..but who wants to break down ten miles from the house and push your bike home or wait for a ride, and the rack is much better than a backpack for carrying things back from the store, your shoulders will thank you...It has 21 speed gearing, great for the hills, light weight frame, Suntour forks and alloy crank, alloy brake arms, 24 spoke paired Areo rims, ( 700 x 43c ) do need special tube with extra long valve stem though,
Presta makes one for around 6.00 dollars, hope this review helps...have put around 500 miles on it so far, and only needed to adjust rear derailleur twice with barrel adjuster and tighten handle bars......
